Somewhere between nature photography and landscapes are “scenes”. While a scene may be an image on a grand scale, often, it’s a much more intimate tableu.

Often scenes are modest, unassuming, and for me, are best shot in natural, or only slightly enhanced light.

The very essence of photography is a sensor, be it electronic, or a piece of film, excited by the presence upon it of light. For that reason, I love the play of natural illumination versus the glare of added light. So you will understand why my scenes are a celebration of refulgence.
